◆ ◇ Hands free poking… ◆ ◇

Some people like poking, some people like being poked, and some people just don’t get the whole poking thing… but whether you’re into poking or not it is a useful way of letting people know that you’re alive. Some people love being poked… I won’t go into reasons that may be… but either way, here’s the lazy person’s way of doing it… which is useful when you’ve got 5000 facebook friends to poke daily…

It’s time to admit that I actually don’t manually poke my facebook friends. I’m what I call an “auto poker”.

Here’s how I do it and how you can too…

* Install GreaseMonkey for firefox –> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/

* Restart firefox

* Go here and click INSTALL –> http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/5200

* Restart your browser

* Login to your facebook account

* People who have poked you will be poked back automatically

Now, some people play the poking game and some people don’t… so often I give the initial poke manually… and let the autopoke take it from there. This will also ensure that your name shows up on the top right hand side each time they log into facebook… which may help or hinder your relationship with that person.

My goal here is not to just give you a few scripts… My goal is to encourage you to think outside of the box when it comes to your facebook networking. Your objective with facebook should always be to develop REAL relationships. Nothing replaces the real thing… but when it comes to something like “poking” you might as well use any help that you can get.
